Abstract :Il y a plus de cent ans mourait â. Istanbul—qui s\`appelait encore communement Constantinople—le grand poete polonais, Adam Mickiewicz. C\`est le Altissimo Poeta de Pologne. Ses cendres, transportees en 1856 â Montmorency, reposent depuis 1890 dans la crypte des rois, au coeur du Wawel, l\`Acropole de Cracovie. Sa vie, son oeuvre, son sacrifice, constituent un des moments les plus eleves dans l\`histoire mouvementee de sa nation.
