Abstract :Onomastik ilimler, yani yer ve şahıs adlarının menşe ve tekâmülünün tetkiki insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Toponymie, Anthroponymie); yakın zamanlarda kaydettiği mühim terakkiler sayesinde gittikçe genişleyen bir ilim kolu halini almaktadır. Toponimi ve antroponimi için ayrı bir taazzuvun meydana çıkarak beynelmilel bir teşkilat haline gelmesi, gittikçe gelişen müstakil kongreler akdetmesi bunun açık bir delilidir. 1949 da Brüksel\`- de toplanan III. Beynelmilel Toponimi ve Antroponimi Kongresi\`nde bir Beynelmilel Onomastik ilimler Komitesi teşkil olunmuş, bir Beynelmilel Onomastik Merkezi kurulmuş ve bu merkez Onoma adıyle bir mecmua çıkarmağa başlamıştır.
