Toplantıyı Kurum Başkanı Prof. Şernseddin Günaltay açmış, Genel Kurul Başkanlığına Prof. İsmail Hakkı Uzunçarşılı, ikinci Başkanlığa Tevfik Bıyıklıoğlu, sekreterliklere Doç. Dr. Tahsin özgüç ve Doç. Dr. seçilmişlerdir.
