Abstract :The results of the excavations made on behalf of the Turkish Historical Society will be published in book form. We shall be satisfied here by giving a summary of the results at hand. The aimsof the expedition and the area to be excavated this year were more or less determined in advance. First of all it was neeessary to clarify definitely the layers uncovered last year, to separate plainly the different architectural levels and as far as possible to obtain new evidence concerning the important material culture of the Copper Age
