Abstract :Bu tebliğin mevzuu 1934 yılında Cincinati Üniversitesi Arkeoloji Profesörü ve Turova hafriyatı Başkanı Profesör C. W. Blegen\'in dileği üzerine Kültür Bakanlığı iznile Antikiteler ve Müzeler Direktörü Bay H. Koşay; Turova Hafriyatı Heyeti Azasından Jerome Sperling tarafından Çanakkale Vilâyetine bağlı Ballıdagı, Eskihisarlık, Karatepe, Kumtepe mevkilerinde yapılan sondajlar neticesi Troad\'da tespit ve tetkik edilen bu dört yerleşme yerinden ancak Kumtepe\'de meydana çıkarılan ve tetkikleri için Türk Antropoloji Enstitüsüne gönderilen insan iskeletlerine aittir
