Abstract :The problems concerning Turkish society are interconnected.  For this reason to deal with one of these problems results in dealing  with many other connected issues. The actual problems which  societies have to face are deeply rooted in history. Consequently these  problems have a historical context and solutions found to them give  way to historical development.  Therefore Sezer and Berkes, who emphisizes the relationship  between sociology and history, deals mainly with historical context of  sociological phenomena and they especially emphisizes that  knowlodge of our recent history has to move beyond the limits of  academic world. Baykan Sezer and Niyazi Berkes, who are Turkish  sociologist, made significant theoretical contribitions to Turkish  sociology. Theyare also interested in Turkish society`s main problems  and their works offer solutions to those problems.
