Abstract :The conflict in Syria soon turned into a civil war. Over the seven years, civil war in Syria has displaced more than one third of the country. According to official figures of Turkish authorities, around three and a half million Syrian refugees are living safely behind the borders of the Republic of Turkey. Besides, Turkey has long been a bridge between the immigrant countries and the immigrant-host countries in Europe due to its central location. Migration further from Turkey to the EU countries entails refugees to choose a dangerous path, such as the Eastern Mediterranean Route.
