Abstract :The art of marbling, which is thought to have started in Turkestan in the 13th century and in Iran in the 14th century, came to Anatolia via the Silk Road and went to Europe under the name Turkish Paper. The art of marbling, which has represented our country as a Turkish art in many parts of the world for many years, maintains its traditional structure even though it continues to exist with diversification with different techniques and modern interpretations. In the 20th and 21st centuries, contemporary art and museum presentations brought about by the advancing technology of the age have become as talked about as the works on display. A museum that can be created with these contemporary presentations should represent the art of marbling in the best possible way and make it interesting. Having a well-equipped museum that explains the historical development of the art of marbling, one of our tangible cultural elements, and exhibits works produced with its unique materials and techniques; It is essential to protect, develop and promote this art.
