Abstract :This study examines the Museum of Islamic Civilizations, located within the Büyük Çamlıca Mosque Complex in Istanbul, focusing specifically on introducing the museum\\\'s collection. Over the centuries, museums have evolved as institutions preserving, studying, and displaying collections for public enlightenment and the protection of cultural heritage. The Museum of Islamic Civilizations exemplifies modern museum practices that reflect both religious and cultural heritage through its architectural integration with the Büyük Çamlıca Mosque. Constructed between 2013 and 2019, the mosque is inspired by Mimar Sinan\\\'s designs and incorporates symbolic numerical elements representing Ottoman architectural traditions. The museum, spanning two floors and approximately 11,000 square meters, houses over 1,000 historical artifacts acquired from leading institutions such as the Topkapı Palace Museum and the Istanbul Archaeological Museums. Advanced preservation technologies, climate-controlled display cases, and automated environmental systems ensure the safeguarding of valuable artifacts. Moreover, the museum aims to engage younger audiences by incorporating digital installations, blending classical and contemporary exhibition techniques. Attracting approximately 1.9 million visitors since its opening, the Museum of Islamic Civilizations plays a central cultural and educational role in Istanbul. This study highlights the museum\\\'s contributions to preserving cultural heritage, providing public education, and showcasing architectural and technological advancements in contemporary museology.
