Abstract :The purpose of the research is to examine the effect of game-based grammar teaching on academic success in Turkish lessons. Wordwall has been preferred as a gamification tool and course activities will be limited to the topics of "Verb conjugation suffixes" and "Semantic shift in verbs" in 7th Grade Turkish course. The study was planned according to the quasi-experimental design, one of the quantitative research methods. Pre- and post-test design with control group was used, and the Verb achievement test developed by Antekin (2019) was used as a data collection tool. The study group consists of 7th grade students in the city center of Kastamonu. Before starting the research, an achievement test was applied to two classes taught by the same teacher. The prepared games were integrated into the Turkish lessons of the experimental group. The experimental research was concluded by applying the same achievement test. The unique value of the study is that the use of the Wordwall tool in teaching Turkish has not been evaluated before. When the post-experiment test results were examined, it was seen that there was no significant difference between the achievement test scores of the experimental and control groups at the 95% confidence level. It was observed that there was no decrease in the success of the students, considering that situations such as class success level and class size affected the result. Keywords : Educational Digital Games, Gamify, Wordwall, Academic Success, Web 2.0
