Abstract :This study analyzes the economic and social impacts of the Paris 2024 Olympics. The historical development of the Olympic Games is examined, and significant studies on this topic in the literature are evaluated in a concise manner. The Olympic Games present substantial opportunities for host countries in terms of both economic growth and development; however, these opportunities are also accompanied by high costs and long-term risks. By reviewing previous studies in the literature, the findings of research on the economic impacts of the Olympics are presented, offering a comparative analysis between countries. Additionally, this study thoroughly addresses the historical background of the Olympic Games and the potential economic impacts of Paris 2024.
