Abstract :The hydatic cyst cyts is a rare infectious parasitic pathology during pregnancy, which may affect all organs. The patient was a thirty six years old woman who underwent surgery for a hydatic cyst of the liver 14 years age. She had elective cesarean delivery due to maternal request. During the bleeding control, we palpated semi-cystic white mass with smooth border within omentum. Cystectomy was performed. Histopathologic examination was consistent with hydatic cyst. The recurrence rate and/or rapid progression of the disease increase with decreased celluler immunity during pregnancy. Hydatic disease is rarely observed during pregnancy therefore there is not any consensus regarding the recurrence rate and treatment modalities. Surgical removal of the cyst is the recommended and preferable management option in cases whom disease is diagnosed in perinatal period
