Abstract :Choanal atresia is total obstruction of posterior choanae which maintains the passage between nasopharynx and nazal cavity. Being an emergency airway obstruction problem in the newborn period it had to be corrected urgently and the airway had to be opened under proper conditios. Having special considerations both in anesthesia and surgical techniques, the anesthetic management of two cases with bilateral choanal atresia is reviewed
