Abstract :Objective: This study was planned to determine the validity and reliability of the “PedsQL Health Care Satisfaction Scale” . Method: This study is methodological. The data are collected with “PedsQL Health Care Satisfaction Scale” which was developed by J.W.Varni. The study was done in the clinic of an university children’s hospital with a total of 420 parents. As the data collection tools, General Information Form which was developed by the researcher, and “PedsQL Health Care Satisfaction Scale” were used. The data were collected by the researcher using interviewing method with parents. Factor analysis, Kruskal-Wallis analysis of variance, Cronbach’s alpha internal consistency test, the percentage and significance of the difference between the groups, Mann-Whitney U test were used for statistical analysis. Result: According to the results of the research, “PedsQL Health Care Satisfaction Scale”, which measures the satisfaction of parents from the service they received in a children’s hospital, is determined to be valid and reliable for the Turkish society a =.93 . Parents’ overall satisfaction level of the services is found to be sufficient, however, the satisfaction scores for emotional support received, the level of communication and the amount of information they have been given are low. Conclusion: In line with the study results, “PedsQL Health Care Satisfaction Scale” is recommended to be used to assess to satisfaction status of parents, whose kids stay in a children’s hospital to receive treatment
