Abstract :Coronary perforation is one of the most dreadful and life threatening complications of coronary interventions commonly performed for the treatment of coronary artery disease. We present a case of coronary perforation, that developed following implantation of bare metal stent to the Circumflex artery of a 61 year old male patient who was admitted for a scheduled elective intervention. Although the patient and the coronary lesion did not have the factors known to increase the risk of perforation, an Ellis type III perforation developed which was treated with the implantation of a greftstent into the previously implanted stent
