Abstract :In gamma camera imaging, obtaining accurate clinical information for the diagnosis of oncological patients is extremely important. Obtaining accurate clinical information depends on the quality of images, the routine quality control and patient movement. Neuroblastoma is the most common extracranial tumor of childhood. In neuroblastoma, metastases can be seen especially in the metaphysis of long bones, and for the detection of these metastases, asymmetry observed in the growth plates is important. In this case report, asymmetric images obtained during whole body bone scintigraphy scanning due to the movement of patient and spot images obtained while the patient is motionless are introduced and the effect of patient motion on image quality is discussed.
Keywords : gamma camera, neuroblastoma, patient movement, image quality, artifact
