Abstract

Mullerian duct anomalies are one of the causes of infertility and increase rates of obstetric complications. Uterus didelphys is a heterogeneous congenital anomaly, due to abnormal fusion of Mullerian duct or inadequate absorption of uterin septum. The aim of this study is to present a case of an uterus didelphys that has reached term through a combined retrospective and literature review. A 30- year- old gravida 1, parity 0 patient was diagnosed as uterus didelphys on hysterosalpingography. The patient was given necessary advice on the consequences of pregnancy and was recommended for spontaneous pregnancy. At the 38th week of gestation, a planned cesarean- section was performed as a result of the indications of moderate oligohydramnios, uterine abnormalities and primigravida breech presentation. In uterus didelphys, in case of pregnancy surgical intervention should be avoided unless it is necessary
