Abstract :Osteoporosis is a progressive bone disease that is characterized by decrease in bone mass and density, distortion of bone microstructure and increased fracture risk. It affects millions of people mainly post-menopausal women and has high socio-economic burden. Osteoporosis decreases quality of life, increase mortality and morbidty. Here we will focus on the recent guidelines of osteoporosis and summarize the therapeutic options
