Hastane Web Site Performanslarının Halkla İlişkiler ve Tanıtım Açısından İncelenmesi: Türkiye, Hindistan ve İrlanda Örnekleri

Abstract :Purpose: To evaluate the performances and to compare the performance usage level of the corporate websites of hospitals with JCI-accreditation certificate in Turkey, India and Ireland having different basic health indicators.Method: 500 hospitals with the JCI-accreditation were selected from the global hospital program. Using the method of judgement sampling, a total of 69 hospital websites were included. The scale developed by Maifredi et al. 2010 was used for data collection. The hospitals were examined using five different categories: ‘’Technical Services’’, ‘’hospital information and services’’, ‘’reception and health services’’, ‘’interactive online services’’ and ‘’external activities’’. The package software SPSS 2.0 was used for the percentage distributions and frequency calculations for the analysis of the data.Results: The results regarding their website performances were: Ireland 61,8 points , Turkey 55,5 points and India 49,5 points .Conclusion: The order of the researched countries regarding their development levels based on their health indicators, and their order regarding their performance levels of their corporate websites used for public relations and promotion is the same. It can thus be stated that the hospitals in Ireland use their websites effectively while the hospitals in Turkey and India use them on an intermediate level efficacy
