Abstract :Hand washing is the simplest and most effective method in the prevention of parasitic diseases. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of hand washing and parasitic diseases education on the knowledge and behavior of school children. Pretest-posttest without control group intervention research was performed between the dates of December 2015-February 2016. 230 students obtained by sample studying studying in a state secondary school in the province of Sivas participated in the study. Data were collected by using a Personal Information Form, Handwashing Assessment Form, and Information Form Related to Parasitic Diseases.
