Abstract :Today, the use of opioids in the management of cancer pain is very common. Opioids have side effects that affect daily lives of the patients as in other treatments. One of the most common side effects is constipation. Although evaluation of the symptom is important, there are options for managing constipation with pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods. In this review, current treatment and care methods were discussed in order to increase the health professionals’ awareness
