Abstract :Cancer patients receiving palliative care are prone to infection due to weakness of their immune systems, hospital infections, or other causes. For this reason, mortality rate due to infection is high in palliative care cancer patients. Nurses and physicians have a very important role in the protection from and treatment of infections. It is significant that there is a lack of literature addressing infection in palliative cancer patient care. The aim of this review article is to increase the awareness of healthcare professionals working in the field and contribute to the literature
