Abstract :Purpose: The aim of this study is to determine the participation of parents of hospitalized children in family-centered care implementation and factors that affect it. Patients and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on parents who accompanied their children in inpatient services in a children’s hospital between July 2014 and April 2015. The sample group of the study consisted of 303 parents who agreed to participate in the study. Results: It was determined that the majority of parents 95% were involved in the care of their children in the hospital, the practices they attended were mostly about children’s basic physical care feeding, hygienic requirements and medication 37.6% .
