Abstract :Modern anlamda kooperatifçilik hareketi 1844 yılında İngiltere’de 28 dokuma işçisi tarafından kurulan “tüketim kooperatifi” ile başlamıştır. Kooperatifçilik hareketi önce Avrupa ülkelerine daha sonra diğer ülkelere yayılmıştır. Türkiye’de ise, modern anlamda kooperatifçilik hareketi Cumhuriyetten sonra M. Kemal Atatürk ile başlamıştır. Ancak, ülkemizde Cumhuriyetten önce de kooperatifçiliğe benzer faaliyetler bulunmaktadır. Kooperatifçiliğe benzer faaliyetlerden biri “Ahi Birlikleri”dir. Ahi Birlikleri, 13. Yüzyılda Ahi Evran tarafından kurulmuş ahlakla sanatı birleştiren bir teşkilattır. Bu teşkilat karşılıklı yardım ve dayanışma, eşit kazanç, üyelerinin eğitimi, kaliteli ve ucuz mal üretimi, aracısız ürün pazarlama gibi kendine has özellikleri ile kooperatiflere benzemektedir. Bunun yanında devlet kurma, orduya eğitimli asker yetiştirme ve toplum düzenini sağlama gibi özellikleri ile de kooperatifleri aşan kuruluşlardır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Kooperatifçilik, Ahi Birlikleri, Ahi Evran.                                                 Cooperatıve And Akhı Organizations   Abstract   The cooperative movement in the modern sense has been started by “consuming cooperative” founded by 28 weaving workers in England in 1844.   The cooperative movement has spread first to the European countries then to the other countries. In Turkey, the cooperative movement in the modern sense has started with M. Kemal Atatürk after the proclamation of the Republic . Yet, there had been some similar cooperative attempts   in our country before proclamation of the Republic. One of the similar attempts is “Akhi Organizations ”.   Akhi Organizations is an organization combining morality and art and founded by Ahi Evran in 13th century. This organization with its unique qualities such as mutual assistance and solidarity, equal income, member education, qualified and cheap goods production, first-hand marketing resembles to the cooperatives.   Keywords: Cooperative, Akhi Organizations, Ahi Evran.
