Abstract :Labor Union; It was established in 1923 as Turkey\'s first social security institution in order to regulate the working conditions of Zonguldak Ereğli Coal Basin mine workers and protect their rights. The Labor Union, which first started its activities with the aim of providing social security to mine workers in the period when there were no social security institutions, has played a leading role since its establishment. The services provided by the Labor Union have remained limited, and today it continues to provide social assistance to its members as the Labor Union Savings and Aid Fund. Especially in recent years, the working conditions and rights of coal workers, who meet the increasing energy needs, need to be rearranged. Thus, it can be stated that it will have a positive contribution to both the city economy and the country\'s energy needs, with the influence of the regulatory and supervisory state.
