Abstract :This research aims to investigate the legal provisions related to iddat ( legally prescribed period of waiting during which a woman may not remarry after being widowed or divorced ) of the woman whose husband has died whether those provisions were devotional, financial or social, and whether she a was pregnant or not, divorced or not, whether she was a Muslim or an adherent of another revealed religion, as well as other essential provisions that people need to know in order not to fall into the legitimate irregularities or confuse between what is permissible or not permissible.
