Abstract :Under the title of “Al-Qurtubi’s Attitude from Abrogation in the Holy Quran- An Applied Study “, this study examines Al-Qurtubi’s approach in his interpretation of the Holy Quran, “Al-Jami’ li Ahkami Al-Qur’an”, regarding the issue of affirming or negating abrogation in the Holy Quran. This is an applied descriptive study. It, first, explained Al-Qurtubi’s approach. Then, it studied the verses which had been abrogated in the Holy Quran as it was said. The study came to the following conclusions: First, it described Al-Qurtubi’s attitude towards abrogation. Then, itstudied practically the verses in which Al-Qurtubi confirmed abrogation. Afterthat, it conducted an applied study to the verses which Al-Qurtubi negated their superseding by giving various pieces of evidence. The study recommended to conduct another empirical research to the verses which are considered abrogated in the whole Al-Jami’ interpretation to discover if Al-Qurtubi retained his standards and restrictions, in addition, to stand at how Al-Qurtubi negated abrogation of the verse.
