Abstract :This research aims to study the effect of the linguistic construction on a literary genre that has its own value, which is the short story. It focuses on the effect on two main pillars of the fictional text, namely the introductory and the conclusion. The research was based on a group of works that won a literary award. The research used the analytical descriptive approach, describing the linguistic elements included in each of the introductory and the conclusion, and then analyzed the linguistic effect of using these elements exclusively in achieving empowerment. Among the findings of the research is that the introduction and conclusion are of particular importance in the fictional work of the creator and the recipient, and that the linguistic levels which have a direct impact in enabling the introduction and conclusion have been represented in phonetic, morphological, grammatical, lexical and semantic aspects, and that some language levels have been repeated clearly in all positions of the introduction and the conclusion, scuh as: adavancing, deletion, and the use of some morphological forms of the verb. The value of the research: It links the linguistic study with the literary text, and shows the extent of the interdependence between them. The importance and value of the research also comes from the quality of the material on which it was based and paying attention to all the elements of the linguistic construction that represented an enabling element for the introduction and the conclusion positions at all levels, then the relationship of that to the context, and the dimensions of that relationship. The research recommends paying attention to this aspect of the applied study that combines language and literature.
