Abstract :Fluid balance is important in hemodialysis patients. Treatment and fluid compliance are essential to ensure balance. Excessive fluid amount during the intradialytic period will cause serious complications. These complications are hypertension, hypotension, left ventricular hypertrophy, pulmonary edema, muscle cramps, cardiac arrest, nausea and vomiting. Fluid compliance is sometimes at risk due to the patient\\\'s behavioral reactions and sometimes due to the nature of dialysis treatment. Therefore, professional hemodialysis nurses should monitor their patients frequently to ensure compliance and provide repeated training on situations that disrupt compliance. In this summary, this review was written to emphasize the importance of fluid management and compliance in hemodialysis patients.
