Abstract :Tinea inkognito, genellikle uygunsuz topikal steroid kullanımından kaynaklanan, atipik klinik özelliklere sahip yüzeyel bir mantar enfeksiyonudur. Farklı şekillerde karşımıza çıkabilir veya birçok dermatozu taklit edebilir. Atipik görünümünden dolayı, ayırıcı tanısı klinisyen için zor olabilir. Hastalığın tanısında %20 potasyum hidroksit ile mikrobik inceleme (nativ preparat), basit ve ucuz bir testtir. Bu nedenle; eritemli skuamlı deri lezyonlarında topikal steroid tedavisi başlamadan önce, nativ preparat yapılması tinea inkognito gelişimini azaltacaktır. Bu yazıda; kliniğimizde farklı klinik görünümüyle çeşitli dermatozlara benzeyen, tinea inkognito tanı ve tedavisi almış 15 olgu sunulmaktadır. Olguların tümünde nativ preparatta hifa ve sporlar görüldü. Ekzema ve abse benzeri tinea inkognito en sık tip idi. Daha az olarak eritema multiforme, morfea, diskoid lupus eritematozus, liken simpleks kronikus ve kserozis benzeri tinea inkognito gözlendi. ABSTRACT Tinea incognito is a superficial fungal infection with atypical clinical features which usually is caused by an improper use of topical steroids. Its clinical presentation may vary and mimic the most of dermatoses. Differential diagnosis may be challenging for the clinician due to its atypical presentation. Microscopic examination with 20% potassium hydroxide ( native preparation) is a simple and inexpensive test in diagnosis of disease. Thus, performing native preparation for erythematous scaly skin lesions before starting topical steroids will reduce tinea incognito development. Herein, 15 cases of tinea incognito which resembling various dermatoses with different clinical appearance were diagnosed and treated in our clinic is presented. All cases were seen hyphae and spores on the native preparation. Eczema-like and abcess-like tinea incognito were the most common type. Its were lessen observed erythema multiforme, morphea, discoid lupus erythematous, lichen simpleks chronicus and kserosis-like tinea incognito.
