Abstract :Konjenital hipotiroidizm taramalar ile doğumda kolaylıkla tanı koyulabilen, erken dönemde tedaviye başlanılmaz ise mental retardasyon ve nörolojik sekellere sebep olan çocukluk çağının en sık görülen endokrin hastalığıdır. Tanı ve tedavi açısından yenidoğan taramaları önemlidir. Tedavide L-tiroksin kullanılmakta olup, tedaviye uyum ve erken başlanması prognoz açısından önemlidir.
