Abstract :Özet Amaç: Bu araştırma çocuk yoğun bakım ünitelerinde hemşirelerin kullandıkları ağız bakım yönteminin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Kesitsel tipte olan araştırmaya Türkiye’nin tüm coğrafik bölgelerinden 3 düzey çocuk yoğun bakıma sahip 133 hastane katılmıştır. Araştırmada veriler Ağız Bakım Anketi aracılığı ile telefonla görüşme yöntemi kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hastanelerin %68.4’ü serum fizyolojik, %33,8’i ağız bakım seti, %41.4’ü sodyum bikarbonatlı solüsyon kullanmaktadır.  Ağız bakımında serum fizyolojik uygulayanların %62.6’sı, bakım seti uygulayanların %46.7’si ve sodyum bikarbonatlı solüsyon uygulayanların %61.8’i günde üç kez uygulamaktadır. Sonuç: Çocuk yoğun bakımlarda ağız bakımı için genel olarak serum fizyolojik ile günde 3 kez bakım verdikleri bulunmuştur.   Anahtar Kelimeler: Çocuk Yoğun Bakım, Ağız Bakımı, Hemşire Determination of Oral Care Methods Used by Nurses in Intensive Care Unit of Children Abstract Objective:   The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the oral care method used by nurses in children intensive care units. Materials and Methods: The cross-sectional type of research, from all the geographical regions of Turkey 133 hospital with third-level children intensive care participated. It was collected by using the telephone interview method through the oral care questionnaire given in the study. Results: 68.4% of the participating hospitals use normal saline, 33.8% use oral care set and 41.4% use sodium bicarbonate solution. In oral care, 62.6% of the normal saline practitioners, 46.7% of the oral care set practitioners and 61.8% of the sodium bicarbonate solution practitioners apply three times a day. Conclusion: It has been found that child intensive care generally take 3 times a day with normal saline for oral care. Keywords: Children intensive care, oral care, nursing
