Abstract :Bezoarlar, sindirilemeyen maddelerin gastrointestinal sistemde oluşturduğu kitlelerdir. Genellikle asemptomatiktirler fakat bulantı-kusma, karın ağrısı gibi akut intestinal obstrüksiyon bulgularıyla acil servislere başvurabilirler. Özellikle zihinsel gerilik veya gastrointestinal sistem anatomisinde bozukluk gelişen hastalarda daha sık görülür. Hızlı tanı ve tetkikleri yapılıp genel cerrahi konsültasyonu istenmelidir. Enzimatik eritme veya endoskopik parçalama gibi konservatif işlemlerin yanı sıra, başarısız olunan olgularda gecikmeksizin cerrahi tedavi uygulanmalıdır. Burada midesinde bezoar saptanmış ve cerrahi tedavi uygulanan bir olgu sunulmaktadır.
