Abstract :Abstract. Improvement in imaging technology, such as recording and showing the images, has occurred everywhere. To see them, different types of screens, like HD monitors or cell phones with LD screens, are used and images often should be resized, to be in accord with different screens. In recent years, there is special attention paid to the methods of resizing which are employed to better show the images in various applications. This article surveys and studies the methods of image resizing (organized images, content-aware techniques of image organization, seam carving, multi-operator method, multi-layer image pointing, sufficient capacity imaging method, and image retargeting).
