Abstract :There are more attention on the amylase enzymes in recent biotechnology because of application of them. To provide these needed enzymes, bacterial amylase enzymes are especially focused on. The bacterial strain was identified by sequencing of 16s ribosomal RNA coding gene BM Company at Ankara/Türkiye. After identified amylase production in starchy medium, the enzyme isolated partially, and optimum Ph and temperature parameters were characterized. The enzyme was applied to remove starch from starchy fabric. The last product of the enzyme was determined with TLC analysis. Its optimum pH and temperature were 5.0 and 45ºC, respectively. The potassium/iodine color change showed that enzyme was able to remove starch from fabric due to at least 8 of TEGEWA. Maltose is the last product. The overall results suggest that the extracted crude amylase can be a potential enzyme candidate for textile industries after further characterization in future.
