Abstract :The declaration of the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 was perceived as a catastrophe by the Palestinian people and the broader Arab world, and has since been commemorated as Yawm an-Nakba. In this period, resistance literature emerged as a tool of struggle, with writers increasingly employing their pens as metaphorical weapons. This study analyzes the reflection of Arab literary production shaped in the occupied territories by focusing on the poems of Salim Jubran, one of the poets featured in Ghassān Kanafani’s Literature of Resistance in Occupied Palestine: 1948–1966, a seminal work that played a pioneering role in transforming resistance literatüre from a literary theme into an autonomous literary genre. By evaluating Jubrān’s poems included in the aforementioned work, the study also draws attention to the lack of scholarly research on the poet and aims to contribute to the existing literature in this field.
