Abstract :The purpose of this research is to identify the teachers\` views on the functions of organizational gossip in their schools and their level of burnout and to reveal the relationship between them. The research was designed in a correlational survey model. According to the data obtained from the Batman Provincial Directorate of National Education, the population of the research consists of 7600 teachers working in the province of Batman in the 2019-2020 academic year. 340 teachers selected from this population by simple random insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(non-selective); method constitute the sample of the research. Research data were collected using the Organizational Gossip Scale and Maslach Burnout Scale. It was found out that there was a low-level positive correlation with the aspect of awareness, a very low positive correlation with the aspect of developing relationships and the organizational harm aspect between the sub-aspects of organizational gossip and burnout levels of teachers.
