Abstract :Objective: Climate change makes the menopause process more difficult and sensitive. This research was conducted to determine climate change awareness in menopausal women. Method: In this qualitative study was conducted with 10 menopausal women who applied to the gynecology polyclinic of a university hospital between 10 July and 21 August 2023. The audio recorded interviews were analyzed using the MAXQDA 2024 program. The thematic analysis of the interviews identified 5 main themes. These are thoughts about climate change, causes of climate change, effects of climate change on menopause, behaviors to prevent climate, measures to prevent climate change. Results: Most women stated that climate change is caused by environmental pollution and air pollution, that climate change has a negative impact on health, and that they are worried about their future. Almost all women responded to the effects of climate change on menopause with an increase in vasomotor symptoms. Also, most women have emphasized that they are protecting the environment to prevent climate change, it is necessary to educate people about climate change and increase their awareness. Conclusion: Although menopausal women have awareness about climate change, it has been revealed that it is not sufficient. It is thought that the study will support the literature on climate change and will be a source for new studies on the subject. Keywords : Farkındalık, İklim değişikliği, Menopozal kadınlar, Nitel araştırma
