Abstract :Objective: It was aimed to determine the effect of the training given for pressure injuries on the knowledge level of intensive care nurses. Method: Using the pre-post test method without a control group, the study involved 243 nurses who worked in the intensive care units of a city hospital in Turkey. Data was gathered using a two-part questionnaire. The study included nurses based on their work schedules, and the training was conducted in groups of about 11 nurses using a pre-test-training-post-test format. Statistical significance p<0.05 was accepted for data analysis. Results: In the study, it was determined that the pressure injury knowledge score increased after the training given to intensive care nurses, and female nurses and those who had received external training before had higher scores. Conclusion: By examining the underlying causes of the factors influencing the level of knowledge and reflecting the practices that will alter the perception of care for pressure injuries in the clinic, it is anticipated that the research will result in a permanent and positive increase in the knowledge scores of intensive care nurses.
