Abstract :This article examines the role, formation and value of consumer credit. Credit is an economic relationship related to the movement of capital, which includes the distribution and return of free funds of the population, in order to increase them in accordance with the terms of urgency, payment. This credit is closely linked to retail trade, on the one hand-an increase in trade turnover, and the volume of loans increases, since the demand for goods also causes demand for credit, and on the other – the growth of lending to the population increases the demand for solvency. This dependence is manifested, especially at present, in the conditions of saturation of the market with goods. Consumer credit is mainly used for purchasing expensive goods, i.e. cars, household appliances, furniture, etc.The more expensive the product, the more often the credit is used.
