Abstract :Mali saydamlık son yıllarda, hem ulusal hem de uluslararası çalışmalarda giderek önem kazanan bir konu haline gelmiştir. Bu kapsamda çalışmanın amacı mali saydamlık ile temel ekonomik değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi analiz etmektir. Çalışmanın uygulama bölümünde, 2002-2008 dönemi ve 28 ülke için panel veri analizi yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın en önemli ampirik bulgusu, mali saydamlık ile kişi başına GSYİH arasında pozitif yönlü ve istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmasıdır
