Abstract :Çalışmanın temel amacı Türkiye’de işsizlik ile boşanma arasındaki ilişkiyi analiz etmektir. Türkiye’nin 26 alt bölgesine ait yıllık verilerin kullanıldığı analizde panel birim kök, panel eşbütünleşme ve panel nedensellik testleri yapılmıştır. Analiz sonuçları kısa ve uzun dönemde Türkiye’de işsizlikle boşanma arasında nedenselliğin bulunduğunu ve nedenselliğin ise negatif yönde olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu durum boşanma sonrası çiftlerin karşı karşıya kalacağı maddi ve manevi maliyetlerle açıklanmaktadır. “İşsizlik boşanmayı pozitif yönde etkilemektedir.” hipotezi Türkiye için geçerli değildir
