Abstract :This project was planned in a reprospectiue and dellning approach to investigate prenatal caring practices of primipares. 'Mis project was applied to primipare women between 15.08.1997- 15.09.1997 at Ġzmir Kadın Hastalıktan ve Doğum Hastanesi. Three lıundred primipar women was taken in to the project. According to the results of Iliis project, prenatal care practices are partially adequate in 48.4 % of primipars, adequate in 35.2 % of prlmipars and inadequate in 16.4 % of primipars. At the prenatal practices of pregnant women age. the source of learning about pregnancy care, were found being statisticallyunimportant. On the other hand. the education of the wornen and her husbands. their occupation. to be available health officials personnel nearby the women were found being statistically important.
