Abstract :Many of the common mental problems of the elderly are related ta the ilk stresses connected with growing old. Changes in lifestyle with concomitant losses and attendant grief states may precipitate emotional states, such as: grief, rage and a sense of impotence and helplessness. Depression, hypochondriasis and paranola are comrnonly appears in elderly patients.
