Synthesis, Characterization, and Investigation of the Photoluminescence Properties of Tb³⁺-Doped Na₂Al₂B₂O₇ Compound

Abstract

Na2-xTbxAl2B2O7 (0.02 ≤ x ≤ 0.07) phosphors were synthesized at 850 ºC for 6 h in air. The phase analyzes of all prepared materials were carried out using the powder XRD. The morphology formation of Na2Al2B2O7 was investigated by SEM At room temperature, a spectrofluorometer was used to examine the photoluminescence characteristics of the prepared phosphors. When excited at 224 nm, Na2Al2B2O7:Tb+3 radiates at 491-497, 543-548, 587-594 and 624 nm. As a result of this study, a new optical materials that emit light in the visible region were prepared, As a result of this study, a new material that emits UV radiation has been introduced to the literature.
