Abstract :In this study, the fatigue behavior of materials produced by additive manufacturing from PLA composites reinforced with 5%, 10%, and 15% carbon fiber (CF) and 1%, 3%, and 5% nano-clay (NC) was investigated. Fatigue specimens were printed according to the standard of the rotary bending test system and tested at different stress amplitudes to determine the fatigue life of the materials. The S-N graph of pure PLA was created using these values. Tests were performed on specimens obtained from reinforced composites at a single load value (125 gr) and compared with the fatigue life of pure PLA at the same load value. The results showed an increase in fatigue life in the 1% NC reinforced composite compared to pure PLA. The fatigue life of materials with 3% and 5% NC reinforcement remained below that of pure PLA. The fatigue lives of CF-reinforced materials remained below that of pure PLA at all reinforcement ratios. The fatigue life decreased with increasing reinforcement ratio in both NC and CF-reinforced materials. The highest fatigue life performance was observed in specimens containing 1% NC. The results obtained are consistent with the tensile strength values of the materials. SEM images of the fracture surfaces revealed how the reinforcement elements and their quantities affected the formation of fatigue damage mechanisms. Keywords : Eklemeli İmalat, Polimer Kompozit, PLA, Nano kil, Karbon Fiber, Yorulma
