Abstract :This study aimed to determine the prevalence of foot diseases in a dairy Holstein farm in Kayseri in 2022-2023 and to treat the detected foot diseases. The study population consisted of 200 Holstein dairy cows from a farm from 2022 and 2023. The average age of the animals was 3±1.38 years and the average body weight was 485 kg. Routine clinical examination was performed for each animal in the study. Firstly, after taking anamnesis, the animals were lying and standing behaviors, posture disorders, presence and degree of lameness, and degree of lameness. The animals were subjected to routine hoof trimming. The findings encountered during hoof trimming were noted. In this study where the prevalence of foot disease was found to be 11.5%, it was determined that the majority of foot diseases occurred due to lack of routine hoof care. Therefore, it was concluded that presence and degree of lameness, periodically applying foot baths, performing hoof trimming and care at regular intervals, as well as raising awareness of the breeders in terms of preventive measures and treatment would be beneficial in reducing the prevalence of foot diseases.
