Abstract :Özet Bronkopulmoner displazi (BPD), iyatrojenik olarak gelişen, mekanik ventilasyon ile solunum desteği gereksinimi olan prematüre bebeklerin kronik akciğer hastalığıdır. BPD'li bebeğe bakım veren hemşirelerin bilgi ve becerilerinin gelişmesi ile BPD gelişmesinin önlenmesi, bebeklerin tedavi sürelerinin kısalması ve komplikasyonların önlenmesinde etkili olacaktır. BPD'li bebeğin hemşirelik bakımı; BPD'nin önlenmesi, bebeğin belirlenmesi, verilerin toplanması ebeveyne hastalıkla ilgili bilgilendirilmesi, YYBÜ bakım, taburculuk planı ve evde izlemi kapsayan uzun bir süreçtir. Hemşireler kapsamlı bir bakımın verilmesinden sorumludur. Bunun için hemşireler dikkatli ve sistemli bir yaklaşım planlamalıdır. Bu makalenin amacı, bronkopulmoner displazisi olan bebeğe bakım veren hemşirelere güvenli, kaliteli ve etkin bakım sağlanmalarına ve bebeğin evde bakımında ebeveyne yönelik eğitim vermelerine yardımcı olmaktır. Anahtar kelimeler: Bronkopulmoner displazi, neonaotoloji hemşiresi, bakım.   Nursing Care of Newborn (Infant) with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia Abstract   Bronchopulmanary dysplasia (BPD), developing as iatrogenic, is a chronic lung disease of premature newborns on mechanical ventilation and need breathing support. Improving knowledge and skills of nurses who care the newborns with BPD will be helpful to prevent the progression and complications of BPD and decrease the treatment period. Nursing care of newborns with BPD is a long period included the prevention of BPD, recognition of newborns, collection of data, notification of parents about illness, care in neonatology intensive care units, plan of discharge and follow-up at home. Nurses are responsible from giving a comprehensive care. Therefore, nurses should plan approaches as cautiously and systematically. The aim of this study is to help nurses who care newborns with BPD to provide safe, effective, qualitative care and train parents about home care of newborn.        Key word: bronchopulmanary dysplasia, neonatolgy nurse, care.
