Abstract :Ünlü şarkiyatçı Claude Cahen’in kaleme aldığı ve tarafımızdan Türkçeye tercüme edilen bu makalenin, onun tarih biliminin toplum ve akademi çevresindeki algısı, temellendirilmesi ve geliştirilmesi noktasındaki düşüncelerini anlamak bakımından önemlidir. This article, written by the famous Orientalist Claude Cahen and translated into by us Turkish, is important in terms of understanding his thoughts on the perception, foundation and development of historical science around society and academia. Cet article, écrit par le célèbre orientaliste Claude Cahen et traduit par nous en turc, est important en termes de compréhension de ses réflexions sur la perception, la fondation et le développement de la science historique autour de la société et du milieu universitaire.
