Leader-Member Exchange and Job Performance in Municipalities: Mediating Effect of Organizational Commitment

Abstract :In this study, the effect of Leader Member Exchange insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(LMX); behaviors on organizational commitment and job performance in municipalities is discussed. Since the administrations of the municipalities are elected, the administration is not permanent. In such cases, the effect of leader-member exchange on organizational commitment and job performance is not available to the best of our knowledge. For this purpose, the questionnaires collected from the employees of a municipality were analyzed by quantitative methods. As a result, it has been found that Leader-Member Exchange insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(LMX); has a positive effect on both organizational performance and job performance, and that organizational commitment mediates the effect of LMX on job performance.
